You are not a bad mom.

Overwhelmed? Definitely. Tired? All.The.Time. Need to apologize (again)? Yup.

As you humbly go find your little one, hold fast to this. As a Christian mother, you have a precious gift to cling to: the unwavering, unchanging, solid rock truth of the gospel.

So take a deep breath, mama, and say a quick prayer. You are not a bad mom.

You’re a righteous one.

Dear you! Welcome to Wiser Mothers.

I’m Hillary, and I help overwhelmed mamas take a gospel-centered approach to peaceful, Spirit-led homemaking & motherhood.

Everything we do, believe, and experience as mothers influences our children: our words, our tone of voice, the look on our faces, the expression in our eyes, our need for forgiveness and grace, our prayers & the way we pray, how we eat & move, what we love, what we feed our bodies and souls, who we care about or criticize, and even our own chastening.

It ALL affects our babes—the books we choose to read to them, the content we consume, the church we attend, the friends we are surrounded by, the hobbies we have, how we set the atmosphere of our home, how we share the gospel and care for others, our humility (or lack of it), how we follow Scripture & obey the Lord, how we seek Him, how we love and respect their father…

Our beloved children, the very ones crawling at our feet and gathered at the dinner table, are emotionally & spiritually shaped by every part of our lives.

It’s a lot for anyone, but what about when you haven’t slept in days, have little to no support, are financially drained, feel like you’re drowning, entering peri-menopause, living with a physical disability, struggling with clutter, have children with special needs, are walking through the valley of the shadow, choking on loneliness, and so much more.

It’s impossible for you, but not impossible for the Lord.

It is a ministry like no other. And you, mama, are not perfect. But you were perfectly created and chosen for these unique and beloved
little souls.

That’s why it’s vital to center your motherhood (and your marriage, your homemaking, your creativity—literally everything) upon the gospel: Jesus took your sin and gave you His righteousness.

Your job is to be needy and weak and to cling to the Lord.

Because being a good mother does not depend on you.

I would love to come alongside you for a season of prayerful, Spirit-led mentorship to help you discover a gracious, gospel-centered way to serve your loved ones and your home as the mother God created you to be.

The living God is FOR you. And when you walk with the Lord who is for you, you won’t have perfection in your homemaking and mothering, but you can have peace. You will have all the wisdom you need to love and raise your children well.

Testimonials

Over the years I’ve worked with so many beautiful souls through 1:1 coaching, online classes, website design, and more. Here is what they said after working with me…

“Working with Hillary has truly opened my eyes to Spirit-led motherhood. After working with her, the words that were spoken are still lingering and helping me in my day to day as a new mother. Hillary has lived her wisdom, and her humble heart made me feel safe and loved. God is using Hillary and her work in the most profound way, and it’s easy to see that it’s coming from a close and sincere relationship with the Lord. I’m truly blessed that God put us together and will work Hillary in a blink of an eye again.”

— Anna Lindberg, @annaandjesus

“I began my journey with Hillary because I decided to listen to my soul and begin a new business—the business of my dreams. I felt like I needed a little more guidance, I needed someone to hold up a mirror and show me that I had the ability within to leap. She made me feel at home. Our sessions felt like talking to a best friend. After our very first call, I found confidence and clarity. After our fourth call? I was filling my calendar with clients. I would not be where I am today without her.”

— Heather

“I absolutely loved the peacefulness that Hillary created for me. I felt understood and loved. After our session she sent me a workbook and a summary of what we had talked about, with some additional prompts and activities. This helped me to get going and really made a difference. i loved everything about it. Thank you Hillary!”

“The wise woman builds her house.”

Proverbs 14:1a

Pour a cup of coffee and let’s talk.
(Babies are welcome, too.)

Sometimes we all need a listening ear, a hand to hold, and some gracious, biblical advice. This is real life, sister. You don’t need to get a babysitter (unless you just want to). For 1:1 support, I’m here.
